Paul M. Roos Vice President, Business Development
Paul Roos is the Vice President of Business Development for Intecor Systems.Paul has been tasked to lead the growth of the organization within Central Pennsylvania, establishing Intecor Systems as the premier Value Added Reseller of Hewlett Packard enterprise servers and coupled peripherals, as well as providing expert consulting within the enterprise level environment through a variety of business partners providing "best of breed" solutions.
Mr. Roos' technology specific career stretches over 18 years, covering various disciplines within the industry.
From 1998 to 2001, Paul was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, an organization that is dedicated to promoting the growth of the technology community within a 22+ county region of the state, the area he played a leading role in branding as Pennsylvania's Technology Diamond.Mr. Roos coordinated technology efforts in the region, promoting commerce and economic development through business, government, academia, and trade organization interfaces.Paul grew the organization's board to 25 directors.During his tenure as the organization's full time executive the Tech Council has grew over 150% in membership, revenue and reserves.In addition, the Council expanded its compliment of membership events to more than 24 programs per fiscal year including an annual awards gala, technology job and career fairs, a government procurement conference, and various executive roundtables.Noteworthy growth and participation through the Council's committees and focus groups occurred and Central Pennsylvania was rated as the 5th fastest growing technology sector in the entire country by the Milken Institute.
Before taking the position of Technology Council President, Mr. Roos directed the Information Systems department at Keystone Health Plan Central (a joint venture of Highmark and Capital Blue Cross.) In this capacity, Mr. Roos established an organizational infrastructure that grew the business unit into four new divisions.Paul successfully migrated the company from legacy systems to state of the art server and desktop platforms and network architecture.As a member of the senior management team, Paul's methods of automation and tracking, applied through the use of technology, produced efficiencies that were documented as direct cost savings for the organization.
In addition to his accomplishments at Keystone, Mr. Roos worked as a Senior Systems Engineer and Technology Consultant for the US Military.Working abroad in locations throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, Paul maintained a residence in Rota, Spain for five years.During this time in his career, Mr. Roos provided technology consulting to the National Security Agency (NSA) and various other Naval Intelligence organizations.His time in this position included direct technology support for operation Dessert Storm.
Paul, also a US Navy Veteran, graduated with honors and distinguished status from the Class A and C rated technology schools he attended.Serving his country through active duty tours in Edzell, Scotland and Miami, Florida as an electronics technician and computer engineer, Mr. Roos received extensive commendation for his 6 years of service.
Mr. Roos is a graduate of the University of Maryland.He also holds an impressive list of qualifications and certifications in the field of Information Technology.
Mr. Roos serves on the Board of Advisors for the Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP), and is on the Information Systems Board of Advisors for Penn State University.
He previously served on the board of the Council of Regional Information Technology Associations (CRITA) and the Harrisburg Regional Chamber.Paul is a native of Central Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School.He resides in Mechanicsburg.
