HELENA, MT - Montana Republican Young Professionals State Chairman Charles Robison joined Team Murphy today as candidate for Treasurer of the Young Republican National Federation.
"I am impressed with the professionalism, enthusiasm and diversity of Team Murphy, and I am excited to get on board with the next wave of national YR leadership," Robison said.

"We need experience and focus," Robison continued."In the 2008 Election, the YRNF needs to raise more money, recruit more members, train those members and give Young Republicans more media exposure than we have ever done in the past.Team Murphy is committed to the vision of a Republican victory in 2008 and has the experience to see it through.I want to be part of that vision."
Robison has set his sights on strengthening the financial base of the YRNF and assisting the state organizations in their fundraising."We need to raise money from a lot of sources and in a lot of areas if the YRNF and our state federations are to reach our political goals," Robison said."As YRNF Treasurer, I will make fundraising my priority, through donations small and large from individuals, PACs and corporate sources.We will have the money we need to get the job done."

Charles Robison jumped into grassroots activism after his graduation from Hillsdale College in 2000, taking a position as a field organization director for the Ohio Farm Bureau.That experience led Charles into campaign activities in South Dakota and Ohio - where he managed John Schlichter's upset victory over State Representative Joe Sulzer of Chilicothe - before returning home to Montana in 2004, where he served as Deputy Campaign Manager in Bob Brown's race for Governor.
Charles serves as YRNF Regional Director in the Western Region and has served as Chairman of the Montana Republican Young Professionals since 2004.He also sits on the Montana Republican Party Executive Committee.Under his leadership, the MRYP has steadily increased its fundraising and financed the largest single deployment of YRNF volunteers in the 2006 election.
Charles is President of Brushfire Group and a partner in The Montana Group, public affairs firms serving the energy, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and mortgage finance sectors.
