  Maureen Robinson started her involvement in the NHS started in the late 1980's as a member of the Southampton and SW Hants Community Health Council where she served as Chair.Later she became a non-executive director of Southampton Community Health Services Trust and in April 2001 moved along with many of its services, to the West Hampshire NHS Trust.Maureen also has an active interest in Local Government and serves as a member of New Forest District Council, Hythe and Dibden Parish Council.She is also a member of the Local Government Association's Community Well-being Board.She is also associated with Spinnaker Housing Group and Options, a charity which offers advice and counselling to people who experience substance misuse.Maureen's professional background lies in research into psychological aspects of aging, and has worked for several years carrying out postgraduate studies at Southampton University.
