NORTH TROY- Probably the biblical Garden of Eden wasn't built in a day, and Tranquil Gardens might take a little long than that too, but the dream is there as Amy Robinson, her mother Joanne, (gardens director) and volunteers are turning a donated 25 acre tract of land into a multi-theme paradise they call Tranquil Gardens, located just on the outskirts of North Troy.
According to Robinson, who is a case worker for NEKCA in Newport, they have been working on the project since 2004 after the land was donated to them by Dr. Robert Carvelli of Massachusetts.

According to Robinson, Tranquil Gardens is designed to create and enhance an awareness of nature through education and interaction.
"The gardens will demonstrate that, despite cultural diversity, we all share a bond in nature.
We hope the Gardens will bring the community together and stimulate tourism in the region," she said.
According to Robinson, each of the nine theme gardens will be a tool for educational and research purposes as well as an interesting and attractive place to be, Tranquil Gardens will focus on education, particularly children.
