It's great we have people willing to give their time and energy to put it on," Roberts said while expressing appreciation for the many volunteers who organize the program, the over 35 sponsors, and those who work or perform during the program.

Appreciation was expressed by many committee members for the volunteers from Tyler Junior College's nursing program.

Randy Roberts

Randy Roberts has joined Transit Mix Concrete and Materials Co. as the commercial salesman for the East Texas Region.Roberts, a Tyler native, has many years in the construction industry.

He will join Transit Mix's sales team comprised of Dale Bray, Skip Brightwell, Mark Collins, Larry Ezzell, Steve Ford, Joe Grayson, Will Hill, Randy Humphrey, H.C. Manning, Jeff Riner, Rich Steward and Marvin Van Nostrand.

Roberts comes to Transit Mix after 8½ years as East Texas Regional Manager for Associated General Contractors.He also has 11 years of experience with RPR Construction.

The Senior Citizen of the Year award will be presented at 2:45 p.m. by Randy Roberts, president of the East Texas State Fair Association.
