18 Technics turntables, 8 Technics mixers, 4 Vestax pro-07 mixers, 5 Stanton patch boxes & 8 DMC Hamster boxes allowed this years Battle for Supremacy to run so smoothly, it appeared unfair that so many Turntablist travelled so far for a brief 60 to 90 seconds round appearance. -- Turntables were given the choice of either the Technics or Vestax mixer which were switchable between three turntables, this brilliant idea was conceived by DMC's sound technician Pete Roberts.

Our two "News Of The World" DMC competition winners, escorted by DMC's main technical manager, (Pete Roberts who sorts out the mixer and turntable problems during the event), were about to land at Newark airport when the pilot pulled up the nose and diverted the plane to Montreal, Canada.
