In 1988, Lee Roberts and the Sweaters released the "Soulin" LP for the Blue Shadow imprint, recorded live in Amsterdam on the 6th of January 1980. In the last five years he was an adviser to The Original Sixties R&B and Soul Show, which sought to reproduce the sound and look of the heyday of soul.

Lee Roberts, a local financial adviser with American Express, said most of his older clients have expressed "uncertainty" about their future, with concerns about rising health-care costs on top of Social Security.Others, he said, have been too aggressive in their portfolios.

But for people in their 30s and 40s, they simply aren't saving enough for retirement, Roberts said.

The younger generation, he said, has gotten in a bad habit of spending more than they save.

"They're living beyond their means," Roberts said.
