Emerging from the half time break 4-0 down Lions found revitalised momentum, midfielders Ben Roberts, Dominic Ryan and Sean Woodhouse effecting a series of goal opportunities, while right winger Charlie Nevitt completed a seemingly endless run past the Luton defenders, finishing with a slicing cross in front of goal for one of the plays of the match.
    ...
Heading into the second half 1-2 down, midfielders Mason Ashby, Ben Roberts, Charlie Nevitt and Chris McGee worked well to control the pace and breadth of the game, assisting forwards Alex Poynter, Will Petherbridge, Aaron Gauntlett and deserving MoM Will Juster with a sequence of striking opportunities.
    ...
Not ready to capitulate, Dunstable countered with impressive resolve, and thanks only to solid defensive work from Aarin Johnson, Ben Roberts and James Pratt were they able to fend off the efforts of their opponents.
    ...
Following the break, Lions found a new gear and defenders James, Tom, Charlie and MoM Aarin refused to capitulate, holding off any further strikes and firing shots deep into the Barton half, where they were expertly fielded by forwards Adam and Will P, as well as mobile mid fielders Chris, Aaron G, Alex P, Sean, Will J and Ben.
    ...
Ben took up position in goal and pulled off some impressive diving deflections, while Charlie and Tom knocked the ball easily between the Barton defenders.
    ...
Stand in keeper Ben nevertheless had his hands full and easily matched the opposing goalie with some sharp saves and confident takes.
    ...
Shillington picked up towards the end of the half, forcing defenders Ben and James into some tricky clearances, either by their trademark scything kicks or else via breathtaking runs from end to end.
    ...
The occasional onslaught broke through but it was only the most ferocious efforts that were able to get by the steadfast defensive work of James and Ben, who rarely limited themselves to one position.
    ...
Lions demonstrated a handful of their sublime one-twos which foxed their accomplished opponents, and for most of the opening half Charlie and Chris, abetted by robust defenders James, Ben and Mason, ran rings around Sundon Park, delivering endless neat passes to the able feet of forwards Adam and Dominic.
    ...
Nonetheless, the pacey hitman's attacks were well countered by defenders Ben, James and Mason, while keeper Dan scooped up any tricky balls that penetrated the rear guard.

The game and result was overshadowed a little though by a nasty injury to Town's central midfielder Ben Roberts, who fell awkwardly after treading on the ball in a challenge only to brake his wrist on landing, mid way through the first half.

The hosts were on level terms for the opening ten minutes and maintained a goal threat through forwards Dominic Ryan, Ben Roberts and Aarin Juster, but by degrees the visitors' confidence established itself and a flourish of goals landed before the half time break.
