In 1989 Rafael came to Orlando and was hired as an Audio Visual Technician at Disney's Contemporary Resort.In 1990, Rafael was promoted to Manager of Audio Visual Services at the Walt Disney World Swan.He also worked at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort and the WALT DISNEY WORLD Dolphin before joining the Opening Team for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, where he is currently the Team Leader for Disney Event Productions.Rafael is the Disney Event Productions Diversity Champion and is also a member of the Coronado Springs Diversity Committee.He actively mentors two other Hispanic cast members and has given guidance to other diverse cast members.Rafael strives to be a driving force on Diversity issues in the Company and throughout the community.He feels it is very important not only to have the right talent on the team, but to have a diverse team, which will ensure successful relationships with our clients.
