Mr. Gregg Ritchie is in his fourth year as the full-time music teacher at Oak Grove School.Before this, he taught sixth grade and music at Beavercreek School and Park Place School, both in Oregon City.He was born and raised in Lake Oswego, graduating from LOHS in 1992.While he was in high school, Mr. R. pursued his two main interests- basketball and music.He continued with the basketball mainly for recreation, and developed his music skills in the Portland Youth Philharmonic (PYP), where he played the double bass.

Mr. Ritchie is also currently on teaching staff of the Community Music Center, and is the conducting teacher of the Tigard-Tualatin-Sherwood Childrens Choir.

Gregg Ritchie was convicted on 20 counts on Tuesday.

He was arrested last fall after investigators discovered several pornographic photographs of children on his computer.

He had been a music teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School for four years.

Police say there is no evidence Ritchie physically abused any children.

He will be sentenced in six weeks.

Ritchie has been music teacher for Oak Grove since 2000 and previously worked for the Oregon City School District.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said they received a complaint from the North Clackamas School District that a parent was concerned about inappropriate conversations that Ritchie had with his child in an Internet chat room.

An forensic investigation by the sheriff's office revealed Ritchie's computers contained several photographs depicting minor children engaging in sexual activities.

Ritchie is currently being held at the Clackamas County Jail on $250,000 bail.
