Grant is UMA's consummate advocate and facilitator of partnering relationships and knowledge transfer within UMA/client project teams.He is adept at creating seamless, cross-functional teams capable of handling multi-stakeholder, multi-billion dollar projects.

Grant joined UMA in 1971 and has held key positions throughout the company.He was part of the team that established UMA in the US marketplace and later led the campaign to secure and manage the billion-dollar Vancouver Island Highway project.During the past decade he has concentrated on overall direction of major UMA projects across Canada, recently taking on the leadership of UMA's transportation sector.

His deep knowledge about UMA, our collaborative approach to work and the strengths of our people in each discipline has made him invaluable in the development of the strategic plan to win the integrated mega-projects that will drive the next-phase of UMA's growth. >

Grant Ritchie retired in early 2003 from his position as a Senior Vice President and leader of the Transportation Engineering Group of UMA Engineering Ltd following 32 years of service with the company.

He is now providing independent consulting services on a part-time basis to the consulting engineering and transportation industries, and in the field of program management on large construction projects.
