In October 1999, Scott joined the AOK Board of Trustees.

He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in geology, and now is chairman of Ritchie Exploration, Inc., an independent oil company.He is also chairman of the board at Hallrich, Inc., a Pizza Hut franchisee, and president of Highland Ranch Co. and Flint Rock Cattle.

Scott enjoys fishing, upland game bird hunting, and traveling.He became involved in AOK because of his interest in upland game birds of the prairie lands of Kansas.

Scott Ritchie currently serves as Chairman of Ritchie Exploration, Inc., an oil and gas exploration and production company.He is also Chairman of the Board of Hallrich, Inc., owners and operators of Pizza Hut restaurants in northeastern Ohio.Mr. Ritchie is president of Highland Ranch Co., a cattle ranching operation located in the Flint Hills area of Kansas.

Mr. Ritchie has served as national president of the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists and president of the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association.He has served as chairman of the Kansas Geological Survey Advisory Committee and as chairman of the board of the International Pizza Hut Franchise Holders Association.

Ritchie is the recipient of the Haworth Award given by the University of Kansas for Distinguished Alumni Honors in Geology.He is presently serving as a member of the steering committee of KU First, a newly initiated capital funds campaign for the University of Kansas Endowment.A trustee of the KU Endowment Association, he serves on its Agriculture and Mineral Committee.

Over the years, Mr. Ritchie has served on many local civic boards.Currently he serves as a director of the Wichita Art Museum and the Spencer Museum at the University of Kansas.He is a member of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, the national honorary fraternity for geologists.

A member of Phi Delta Theta at the University of Kansas, Mr. Ritchie became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Phi Delta Theta Educational Foundation on January 1, 2001.
