Dr. Rios is a native of Mexico.He is a graduate of La Salle University, Mexico City, Mexico 1971-M.D.His internships - State General Hospital, Sonora, Mexico, Chinapa Rural Community, Sonora, Mexico (Primary Care), First Regional General Hospital - Surgical Internship, Emory University Affliated Hospitals 1994-1997, Fellowship in Internal Medicine/Emory University Affiliated Hospitals 1997-1998.Dr. Rios received the "Excellence in Teaching" award in 1997 from Emory University Medical School Class of '97, and in 1998 received "Physician Recognition" by the American Medical Association.
Medical Societies: President of La Salle University School of Medicine Student Council 1989-1990, La Salle University Alumni Society, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Hall County Medical Society.
Dr. Rios is an active community member, serving on the board of the American Red Cross of Hall County, Treasurer of the "Census 2000: Hagamonos contar" Hispanic Committee, Rape Response Minority Advisory Committee, Medical Staff Volunteer at Good News Community Health Center and as a member of the Editorial Advisory Committee of "The Times", Gainesville, Georgia.Dr. Rios is in private practice in Gainesville
