"This development will be segregated from the rest of the borough of Magnolia," said Barrington Mayor John Rink, who attended Wednesday's meeting.
...
"I was kind of shocked and a little appalled that they didn't let me speak," Rink said."Maybe they were worried about what I would say."
The mayor said he intended to reference a site review done by Barrington's professional engineers, which showed the development can be connected to Otter Branch Drive in Magnolia with a little bit of extra work.D'Anastasio Corp. has said the DEP would likely not approve a permit to build such a road because it would cross over wetlands and Otter Branch Creek.
Rink also said he wanted to testify that environmental tests are available for under $8,000 to scan for materials buried beneath a property's surface.
