Carolina Gold is very excited to introduce one of the newest editions to the percussion staff, Johnathan Richards.
...
Johnathan is currently the percussion arranger and caption head at Midland Valley High School in Langley South Carolina, a position that he has held since 2001.Prior to that, he was on the percussion staff at Irmo High School (SC) and White Knoll HS (SC).Johnathan will be Carolina Gold's Bass Instructor for the 2005-2006 season.

His marching experience includes being a member of The Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps from 1999 to 2000 and a member of the Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps in 2001.He was also a member of the 2000 University of South Carolina 'WADSQUAD' drumline.In his spare time Johnathan is the percussionist for an Augusta, GA area rock band.

Johnathan is currently the percussion coordinator/arranger at Midland Valley High School, a position he has held since 2001. Previous to his current position he was the assistant percussion instructor at Irmo High School and White Knoll High School and also on percussion staff with Drum Corps Associates World Finalist Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps. He has arranged and been a consultant to numerous high school programs across the Southeast. His experience includes performing with the 1999 and 2000 Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and also performing with the 2001 Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Those ensembles were percussion champions in their respective divisons in 2000 and 2001. He was also a member of the University of South Carolina WADSQUAD drumline. Johnathan currently lives in Jackson, SC with his wife and daughter and works as a documentation coordinator for a software company in Augusta, GA
