Dr. Dale W. Rice is a Senior Consultant with MinoTech Engineering, Inc.Dr. Rice consults in diverse areas of high temperature processing and manufacturing equipment.His research interests include glass chemistry, ceramics, and crystal growth, reflecting 40 years experience, first as a research chemist at Corning Glass Works, then as Technical Director for Centorr Associates, Inc., and later as Technical Director for Beaumac Company, Inc.While at Centorr Associates he was responsible for the design and development of new products including commercial furnaces for high temperature optical fibers processing.Dr Rice was responsible for ensuring that custom furnace designs met the specific requirements of each customer's process.At Beaumac Company he developed special designs and materials for graphite furnace hot zones in addition to advising customers on high temperature materials issues.He is the author of several patents covering high temperature processes and related equipment.Dr. Rice holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from MIT.
