"They really look forward to this, getting all dressed up and everything," said Amy Rice, the executive director at Handi-Crafters, a nonprofit organization in Thorndale that provides rehabilitation and job placement services for people with physical and mental disabilities.

"We're very grateful for the donation," said Rice.

Handi-Crafters has about 10 work contracts with ongoing customers, said Amy Rice, director of rehabilitation services, such as folding bandages for the military and assembling shoe kits.Other projects include packaging bread mix and candy, as well as assembling massage pillows for local gift shops.

"We have real contracts with real deadlines," she said.

Most of Handi-Crafters' contracts involve packaging and assembly work, said Rice.

"It's all about employment and people who have barriers with employment," said Amy Rice, executive director for Handi-Crafters.
