   Vincent Ricciardi, 23, is the owner and primary operator of Ana Fect Media Laboratory, a media consulting company that has grown immensely over the past 8 months. The group focuses on websites, public relations, print, radio, and television. A graphic designer as well, Vincent cultivates a strong environment of internet consulting.
   
   As a 2006 graduate of Loyola University, Vincent graduated with degrees in Political Science and Technology and has always been involved in the entertainment industry, media, and technology. With a goal to facilitate communications in the political sphere, Vincent began working at Ana Fect as a graphic designer and quickly shot to the top.
   
   Vincent's primary focus is the web-he's particularly interested in the way we trade information over the internet and how it can become ubiquitous through technology like XML. His interests in the semantic nature of the web and ontological engineering keep him at the top of the field of media consultants and professionals.
   
   Vincent is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Computer Information Systems at Northwestern University.

   Our next chair on my immediate right is Vincent Ricciardi. Vincent was at the last panel and had some great questions and some good comments and was part of what we got to thinking about in terms of a follow up. Vincent is 23. He is the owner of Ana Fect Media Laboratory.

   Vincent: I think that my main interest in the internet would have to be building it.

   Vincent: Indeed, but I guess the dichotomy I was trying to draw was that I don't necessarily consume popular media, that it's not there for the trading of mp3s.

   Vincent: And so the thing about it is Suzan and I for the last 2 years have been in the development of a revolutionary new web application that we're going to launch before the presidential elections and our biggest worry is, this is a very novel and engaging tool, but just because it exists doesn't mean that people are going to use it.

   Vincent: I think in the next couple years, especially if I ever get the opportunity to work for Google, I definitely see Google making a push in the development of a third-tier operating system.

   Vincent: And I think the opportunity of the internet is the magnitude, the breadth to which you can speak to people, has fascinated people, but they've forgotten is what's really critical is not these huge groups of people.

   Vincent: They make the page take forever to load, they make the user experience poor, and they're not particularly effective.

   Vincent: So and then if you look at Google's Adwords, Adwords is where Google makes the majority of their money.

   Vincent: It would be face-to-face for me, then a telephone conversation, and then email.
