   Mr. Julio Francis RibeiroMr. Ribeiro joined the Indian Police Service in 1953 and rose to be the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai from 1982 to 1985.Later, he served as Director General, Central Reserve Police Force, Director General of Police, Gujarat, and Director General of Police, Punjab.Mr. Ribeiro also had tenures as Special Secretary to the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Advisor to the Governor of Punjab.He was awarded Padma Bhushan, one of the highest awards given by the President of India, in 1987.After retirement, Mr. Ribeiro served as Indian Ambassador to Romania from 1989 to 1993.Currently, he is Chairman of the Maharashtra State Committee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
