Having started out at the school as a teacher, Maria worked her way up to Assistant Principal/Dean of Studies, charged with curriculum and teacher supervision and evaluation.In this role she embraced technology as part of her responsibilities.When St. Bernard High School and St. Bernard Elementary School consolidated, she participated in oversight of curriculum and instruction of the PreK to Grade 12 program.She handled inservice programs in technology for faculty, workshops in effective integration of Internet technologies into the curriculum and led workshops on special topics related to Internet use for elementary through high school educators.
Maria also worked as the Academic Technology Coordinator for San Francisco University High School in San Francisco.In this capacity, Maria was charged with the support of both faculty and students in the use and integration of technology into the curriculum.She oversaw the school computer labs, provided guidance with online course environments, actively taught faculty, staff, and students in the use of various applications and technological tools, coordinated with the library staff to identify, present and evaluate technology-based resources and identified and implemented systems, hardware and software which would positively impact faculty and student use of technology.
Since 2001, Maria has been working with Catholic School Management providing consultative guidance in academic and technology related areas.She has worked with schools in technology planning, development of research skills curriculums, and implementation of curriculum mapping.She currently coordinates CSM's Institutional Assessment services.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire and a Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.Maria also holds California Clear Single Subject Teaching Credentials in Art and Spanish.
