ARROYO GRANDE, June 7 and 8: The Everybody Can Dance Ballet Company, with guest choreographer and dancer Jordi Ribera, will stage the world premiere of "Spanish Fire" at 7 p.m. Saturday, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts, 487 Fair Oaks Ave.

Students in the company will rehearse Tuesdays with teachers Jordi Ribera and Aubrey Walker, to prepare for their November performance of "The Nutcracker."

Everybody Can DANCE's production of "The Nutcracker Ballet," Nov. 24 and 25, directed by Diane Zink, will feature professional dancer Jordi Ribera, who will also teach at the studio throughout the year.

This year's production will showcase the students' talent, as well as Ribera's, said Zink.

"And we do have Jordi Ribera ... a top world performer, who's performing for us this year."

Costume highlights include a cannon that'll shoot a giant cheese puff at the mice during their battle with the Nutcracker, as well as Mother Gigone (or Ginger) and her oversized dress.

Jordi RiberaMr. Ribera started his dance career at the age of eighteen with the Royal Swedish Ballet.The dance critics immediately praised him for his strong classical technique, bravura leaps and multiple pirouettes.He has now performed as a principal dancer in major dance companies around the world, including Europe, Japan and North America.

Movement Seven was another success -- with principal Jordi Ribera showing his talent and athleticism.

The ensemble returned for movement Eight.Nole was, again, the standout among the men.His air time was dazzling.He consistently anticipated the beat and took off and landed squarely on it.

Unfortunately, this capability was not prevalent across the stage when unison was required.

Jordi Ribera started his dance career at the age of eighteen with the Royal Swedish Ballet after graduating from its academy and was quickly promoted to soloist.Critics praised him for his strong classical technique, bravura leaps, multiple pirouettes, and powerful energy on stage.He has now performed as a principal dancer in many major dance companies.He has been invited as a guest artist all around the world, including Japan, Europe, and North America.

Mr. Ribera now lives in Southern California where he teaches and performs.
