Vicki Rial, exhibitions coordinator for the gallery, said Morgan's paintings are viewer-pleasers.

"His paintings are extremely colorful and lyrical, but for the most part, they are fun," Rial said.

Rial said Morgan draws inspiration from many different places.

"His wife makes quilts, and you can see her influence of textile in his paintings," Rial said.

"[Morgan's] work is a good fit for the gallery space," Rial said.

The majority of visitors of the exhibitions are students, Rial said.The gallery also receives visits from retired Tuscaloosa residents, residents of Birmingham and Montgomery and some elementary school classes.

"We ... like to give children and adults with special needs the opportunity to come in and view the exhibits," Rial said.

"You might not know exactly where [the landscape] is, but you've seen it," said Vicki Rial, exhibitions coordinator at Moody Art Gallery."She is picking up the old sights that are familiar to the South and doing it in a way that recalls its age."

Rial said Mann, who is from Lexington, Va., has a physical quality about her work that is perfect.

Her older work, which is displayed in two of her books at the gallery, features a perfect print quality, Rial said.

"Her work has a lot to do with freezing time," Rial said."It is interesting because we will always see her children as children."

Rial said she believes the photography evokes memories.

"We try to feature an exhibit that you might not be able to travel to see," Rial said.
