Heather was the winner of the 5th annual Library Service Award for outstanding library service to the community.Heather will use the money to enrich her collection of early learning materials which she uses with young children and their families.

North Garrison Heights: Heather Rhone, early learning project coordinator for Fort Vancouver Regional Library District, has won the fourth annual Library Service Award presented by Altrusa International of Clark County.The Altrusa selection committee cited Rhone's individualized outreach to families and young children, and the personal affection she has engendered among children in her efforts to instill in them a life-long love of reading and books.She picked up the award April 28 at a dinner event attended by 90 people at E.B. Hamilton Hall at the Historic Reserve in Vancouver.
