   Superintendent Mike Ford announced Wednesday afternoon that Scott Rhoades will leave Black Mountain School for Hualapai Elementary School, Steve Hite will switch from La Senita Elementary School to Palo Christi School, and Bill Harness will go from Kingman Junior High to Mt. Tipton School in Dolan Springs.

   Our ( enrollment ) numbers are up , said Scott Rhoades , principal at Black Mountain Elementary in Golden Valley. We've had such a tremendous response to our seventh- and eighth-grade program , so much so that we're going to split the class and have two going on. One will be strictly seventh grade and the other a combination 7-8.. There are 41 students enrolled in the new seventh- and eighth-grade program at Black Mountain. Total enrollment at the school as of Wednesday was 460 students , Rhoades said. Enrollment at the start of the 2000-2001 year was 360 when Black Mountain was part of the Kingman Elementary School District , which merged July 1 with the Mohave Union High School District. Rhoades was asked if students have been talking about the new unified district. One mentioned it today , he said. He noticed the badge I'm wearing says District 20 , not District 4.. Palo Christi Elementary also has started a seventh- and eighth-grade program.
