"We feel we've answered that question now," said OSP managing director Sue Ellen Reiman, in reference to the Dec. 12 fire that destroyed the Jack O'Meara Ampitheater where the company performs each summer.
Since that time, OSP has raised $12,859.09, approximately one-third of the estimated $30,000 needed to rebuild the stage. With the money currently raised, there is almost enough to build a bare minimum platform, which Reiman estimated between $15,000 and $20,000.
In order to meet their goal of having a stage ready for the 2002 summer season, OSP will host a "Variety Show Fund-raiser," 7 p.m. Sunday at Stage Center, 400 W. Sheridan, featuring a diverse cast of actors from the Pollard Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, Oklahoma Children's Theatre, Carpenter Square Theatre and Lyric Theatre.OSP members appearing in the show include Anne Lower, Don Shirley, Jason Burkhart, Hal Kohlman, Erin Anderson, Shane McClure and Reiman.

"We're not going to turn anybody away," said Reiman."If you've got $25, great. If you can do $15, great. If not, give us what you've got."
