Former Miami Dolphin's great Nat More hands a check for ,5,000 from the Orange Bowl Foundation to the Miami Xtreme's President & Founder Jose A. Regalado.

"The enthusiasm of the players, coaches and their parents all go hand in hand," said Miami Xtreme Youth Football League president Jose Regalado, whose league has a team participating in each championship game.

When the talks stalled, Joe Morgado, the Mustangs' president in 2003 and currently director of sales and marketing for the arenafootball2 league Firecats, stepped in and contacted Regalado.

"The fields are a great place," said Regalado, who took a tour of the area two weeks ago."It's very exciting because you drive by and there's nothing there.By this time next year, there will be goal posts and it will be filled with people."

Regalado says the biggest misconception of joining the Miami-based league for local parents will be travel.He notes that, should the Bonita league join this fall, there will be three area teams in Southwest Florida with the potential for future growth, which should keep drives across the state to two or three times per season.
