James Garlon Reed

James G. ReedJames Garlon Reed, age 77, of McMahan passed away Thursday, May 23, 2002 at his home in McMahan, Texas.He was born March 6, 1925 in McMahan and graduated from Lockhart High School.Garlon was a Navy Veteran of World War II.He was a member of H.T. Rainey Post #41 of the American Legion and a member of V.F.W. Post #8927 of Lockhart, and a lifetime rancher on his beloved land in McMahan. He is survived by his two sons, James Harlon Reed of McMahan and David Lynn Reed and wife, Cassie of Austin, two grandsons, Justin Lee Reed and Nathan Lynn Reed, and two great-granddaughters; brother, Maurice Reed and two nephews, Greg and Steve.Visitation was Saturday, May 25th at Eeds Funeral Home in Lockhart.Funeral Services were held Sunday.May 26th at Eeds Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron Scott officiating.Interment followed at Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan.
