    The program is hosting 150 students fromClaiborne, Scott, Campbell, Union and Morgan counties in Tennessee, Bell County, Ky., and Lee County, Va., Reagan said.

    The high school students were taking part in a college prep program at Lincoln Memorial University called Upward Bound and came from Claiborne, Scott, Morgan, Union and Campbell counties as well as from southeast Kentucky, said Kate Reagan, the Harrogate university's director of marketing and public relations.

    The bus had been chartered to take the students to Tusculum College in Greeneville to a dance, Reagan said.

    The bus driver and five students or counselors were taken to Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell by ambulance, Reagan said.
