Discovery Metals' Managing Director, Jeremy Read, said that the initial results received from the Zeta Infill Drill Program were very encouraging as they suggest that the copper-silver mineralisation in the centre of the Zeta Resource is both higher grade and thicker than previous drilling had indicated.

"The results from the holes released today have exceeded our expectations as they have defined a higher grade zone in the centre of the Zeta Resource grading greater than 2% Cu over a strike length of nearly a kilometre and at shallow depth," Mr Read said.

"From this first batch of results from the Zeta Infill Drill Program we have recorded our best ever intersection at Zeta of 8m at 3.1% Cu indicating that the closer spaced drilling is giving us much better definition of the higher grade areas within the Zeta Resource and we are looking forward to receiving further results from the infill drill program," he said.

Discovery Metals' Managing Director, Jeremy Read, says the financing provides a solid financial platform for the company as it progresses with its pre-feasibility study of the Maun Copper Project in north-west Botswana.

"We have gained the support of a number of high quality Botswana and UK investors, as well as a number of Australian investor groups, as we gear up the company's activities on potential project development studies and ongoing exploration at Maun," says Read.

Discovery Metals' Managing Director, Jeremy Read, said yesterday that ongoing drilling on the Maun Project was proving to be very successful with three Inferred Mineral Resources defined from five prospects drilled during 2007.

"Drilling is yielding a high conversion rate of prospects drilled to Inferred Mineral Resources status which is highly encouraging," Mr Read said."Plutus is a shallow deposit and we would expect that a significant portion of the identified resource could be mined in an open pit," he said.

"The Zeta prospect pre-feasibility study is now well underway, our regional exploration program is being ramped up and with the significant growth in our resource base we are looking forward to an exciting 2008," Mr Read said.

Discovery Managing Director, Jeremy Read, said the infill drilling results announced today at the Zeta Inferred Copper Resource (20Mt at 1.2% Cu, 0.6% Cu cut-off) where extremely encouraging and continue the recent run of excellent drill results where intersections of greater than 2% Cu have consistently been recorded.

"The infill drilling at Zeta has shown that there is a zone within the Zeta Resource grading 2% Cu and above and that this zone extends for at least 1050m with the higher grade mineralisation occurring at shallow depth and probably extending to the surface," Mr Read said.

"Our initial infill drilling suggested there was a zone of mineralisation of greater than 1.7% Cu but with the addition of these four holes it now appears as if the higher grade zone is in excess of 2% Cu," he said.

Discovery Managing Director, Jeremy Read, said the Zeta infill drilling has been encouraging with the majority of the infill holes producing intersections in excess of the currently defined average copper grade of the Zeta Resource.

"Currently the Zeta Inferred Copper Resource covers a strike length of 3.2km and has an average grade of 1.2% copper.Over a strike length of nearly 2km within the resource nine of eleven holes for which we have results to date intersected copper mineralisation grading 1.6-2.4% copper over mineable widths," Mr Read said.

"External consultants are currently revising the Zeta Resource to take in to account the results of both the infill and extension drilling," he said.
