"They started chasing after him," said Stuart police Officer Jeff Kittredge, who joined the chase with Officer Jeff Read and other city officers.

"Opening this school means our middle schools are not nearly going to be as crowded as in the past," said Jeff Read, chief educational officer at East Valley and West middle schools and Nampa High School.

"There will be more opportunities for students to participate in sports and other activities," he said.
