    Global news channel CNN is working closely with advertisers, said Kevin Razvi, executive vice president of TBS International's advertising sales for news across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

    "In the event of conflict or other particularly sensitive breaking news, CNN always takes a view on the appropriateness or otherwise of running advertising.Advertisers choose CNN because of the integrity of our coverage and that includes an appreciation of when advertising would simply not be appropriate to a given news situation," he said in a written response to questions.

    For more than a week after September 11, CNN carried no advertising and then consulted advertisers before phasing ads back in, Razvi said.
