In early July of this year, United Way received a call from Phil Rayson, coordinator of the United Methodist Youth Fellowship from First United Methodist Church in Manhattan Kansas.The group was to be in Colorado Springs on August 10, and was looking for volunteer work to do in our community.United Way gave its agencies the opportunity to submit proposals for the group's services.

After receiving about ten requests for the volunteers, Phil chose the Child Nursery Centers.As planned, on August 10, the group performed volunteer work for the Child Nursery Centers in Colorado Springs.
