   Neville Reyner CBE DL, Chairman of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Exemplas Holdings Ltd, has joined Clydesdale Bank's Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) in St Albans as non-executive chairman.

   Reyner was UK Executive VP of Mitsubishi Electric Europe, responsible for turnover of £250m until 1998.During his time at Mitsubishi he took Mitsubishi Semiconductor in the UK and Ireland from start-up to over £150m.

   Neville Reyner is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and spent 15 years in a global electrical conglomerate leaving at the end of 1998 as UK Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Electric Europe responsible for a turnover of £250 million.

   Neville took Mitsubishi Semiconductor in the UK and Ireland from start-up and to over £150 million in 15 years achieving successive net profitability during that time and over 3 semiconductor economic cycles.
   
   Prior to this Neville worked with Fairchild Semiconductor and Analog Devices.Neville was also the former Deputy Chairman of the East of England Regional Development Agency (EEDA) and over his 5year term (1999-2003) championed Innovation, Science & Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing in the region.He was a Director of East of England Investment / Invest East of England since its formation, (1997-2004)
   
   He holds a number of Directorships: Chairman, Exemplas Holdings Ltd; Director, Pera International Ltd; Director, RBBS Primary Care Trust.He also is the Chairman of the Centre for Integrated Photonics (CIP Ltd) and Chairman of Anglia Components Ltd in Wisbech an electronic components distributor.
   
   He was until March 2005 an independent Non-Executive Director of Countryside Properties Plc and was part of the independent committee established to advise and make recommendations to, the shareholders in regard to a MBO and subsequent de-listing from the FTSE which was successfully completed in March 2005, corporate advisors N M Rothschild.
   
   He is a member of the Regional CBI council and Regional IoD council.In October 2005 Neville was appointed to the UK Electronics Leadership Council (ELC) set up to oversee the recommendations of the DTI Electronics Innovation Growth Team (EIGT) UK Electronics Industry strategy 2015.
   
   In Hertfordshire he sits on the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), and is Chairman of the charity The Hertfordshire Educational Resource Trust and Chairman of the charity Groundwork Hertfordshire, Chairman of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the University Business School Advisory Group, Chairman Groundwork Hertfordshire.
   
   He also holds the award of honorary Doctorate from the University of Hertfordshire and is a visiting Professor at the Business School.Neville sits on the National LSC audit committee as well.
   
   Neville has a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Leeds, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration MBA from Cranfield.He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET)**, Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce (FRSA), Institute of Directors (FIOD) and a Chartered Engineer (C Eng).
   
   He was appointed CBE, in the 2001/2002 New Year Honours, for services to business and appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire in 2003.
