"We should be looking at late September to late October as far as coming to some consensus [on which option to pursue]," consultant Eugene Raymond of Strekalowsky and Hoit, Inc. said.
The September 2005 date would be for constructing either one or two new high school buildings on the existing Holden site.Options that involve schools built in other towns would not be complete until February 2008.
The projected 2005 completion date is based on town meeting approval of a building project by this November, and applies only to projects that keep the high school confined to the current Holden site.Options involving purchase of land in another town for a second school would need town meeting approval to find a site this November, followed by approval of a building project in November 2003, Raymond said.
Costs start at $21.7 million
There are 10 basic high school proposals still on the table following the WRSDC's July 15 meeting.Six options, including those that kept the modular facilities as permanent parts of the facility, were removed at that point.Consultants from S&H and Financial Advisory Associates returned Monday to share construction schedules and costs for the remaining plans.
