   Shanta Rayani Chief Operating Officer - EGO Swimwear Company Design & Manufacturing Working in the fashion-conscious city of London, Shanta began her career in apparel manufacturing in quality control at High Gate Gowns, a major supplier of high-end women's evening gowns. After relocating to sunny California, she began working for thriving swimwear company, Ujena, where she assisted in the manufacturing of swimsuits.
   
   At the height of her career, she decided to start her own company, Sheeya Fashions, where she managed a factory of her own. Contracting a wide variety of work from the swimwear of Ujena to the high-end evening gowns of Jessica McClintock, Shanta learned valuable techniques in pattern making and apparel design.

   Taking a break from swimwear, Shanta went back to her heritage for new inspiration. Having an eye for exceptional taste, she exercised her creativity in designing and manufacturing her own brand of Indian clothing called Sheetal. For people that are not familiar with Indian clothing, it is intricately detailed with rich embroidered fabrics, sequins, and beadwork that even the couture designers of Paris have attempted to recreate such stunning detail in their own lines.
   
   Upon returning to swimwear with Out of Control Swimwear in 1999, she and her husband manufactured and even designed many of the company's hottest swimwear items. They infused their own sense of style and elegance into the swimsuits. Now with Ego Swimwear, she is ready to challenge her own creativity in the designing of fashionable unique pieces.

   During the summer of 2002 was the perfect time to start up EGO Swimwear as Designers Chandu and Shanta Rayani were available and eager to start this new business venture.
