ELKTON, Ky. -- Skip Ray stood on a gravel lane that runs through Meadow Haven cemetery Wednesday morning and watched as a pile of red dirt poured from the bucket of a trackhoe.
A man crawled down into the neatly squared hole and wrapped a cable around a metal vault on the bottom of the grave.
"That's Momma," Ray said as the vault rose slowly, dangled briefly in mid-air and then settled onto the bed of a one-ton truck.
