Simon Ray

In advance of the EBRD AGM (this year to be held in Kazan, Russia from 21-23 May), Simon Ray, Director for UK at the EBRD , has kindly offered to brief members on the current strategic issues that face EBRD, at a meeting of the Europe Working Group to be held at the British Expertise offices on Thursday, 3 May at 1530.

Simon has been UK Director at EBRD for 3 years, and is a senior DFID official who previously ran the Know-How Fund.Come and benefit from his knowledge of Central & Eastern Europe, the Balkans and FSU, and what the bank is doing in those areas.This meeting is recommended to all those with an interest in the area.

At 1530, prior to the networking event, Simon Ray, Director for UK at the EBRD, will brief members on the current strategic issues that face EBRD.

Ahead of the visit, Simon Ray, EBRD Board Director for the United Kingdom and spokesperson for the Delegation, said the aim of the trip is to get an overview of the economic and political progress being made in Serbia and Montenegro.

The main speaker will be Simon Ray, UK Director, supported by Tomasz Bartos and Eugene Smirnov from the Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure Department, who will give a presentation on their work in Russia and Ukraine.
