Mr. James M. Ray

With Mr. Ray he joined the First Presbyterian Church on the same day, in 1828, and they were elected Elders on the same day, in 1830.In 1851 he withdrew, with twenty-one others and formed the Third Presbyterian Church in which he was then made an elder serving till his death, November 21st 1870.He was a trustee for Hanover College and gave to it liberally, as he did to his church when his means permitted.
