Gene Riley has been appointed Controller of the Sorrento Hotel and Raymond Stiehl has joined the Sorrento Hotel as the newly appointed Director of Food and Beverage according to Michael Rawson, the hotel's Managing Director.

Rawson assumed his current post in August, and is spearheading the repositioning of the historic Sorrento by establishing a strong foundation of business travelers and repeat guests.In his short time with the hotel, he has launched Caf?Palma, the Amalfi-inspired, seasonal outdoor dining area fronting the hotel.He is also in the process of refurbishing the hotel's award-winning restaurant, the Hunt Club, to be completed next month in time for the holidays.The restaurant will have its own identity, separate from that of the hotel, and it will incorporate popularly priced menu items in a relaxed atmosphere to appeal to Seattle residents.
