Henry Lee Rather

Henry Lee Rather, Sr. March 23, 1929-November 19, 2001Graduated from Cornell University Hotel School.He was employed by Sheraton Hotels for 42 years managing hotels in Baltimore, San Francisco, Honolulu, Dallas, Columbus, Chicago, Bal Harbor, Atlanta, and Nashville.President of the Hotel/Motel Association of Greater Dallas twice, 1963 and 197, as well as many other cities in which he has worked.President of both the Texas and Tennessee State Hotel Association.Henry served the American Hotel and Motel Association as President of the Educational Institute.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lavon Hallmark Rather and two children and three grandchildren.
