Born in Los Angeles and raised in Santa Barbara, Rappaport attended the University of California at Berkeley.Upon his graduation, he created the magazine Mondo 2000.His first position in the entertainment industry came as an agent's assistant at ICM.After several years at the agency, he moved into Sandollar Productions as a production executive.While at the company, he was involved in projects such as "Father of the Bride," "Shining Through," "A Stranger Among Us" and "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." Rappaport served as executive producer on the film "Judas Kiss," starring Carla Gugino, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman.
