Tim Rankin has joined Genmar Holdings, Inc.'s VEC Technology Division as the vice president of a newly created Technology Solutions department.Rankin, who was most recently employed as the managing principal for TR Manufacturing Consulting in Grand Rapids, Michigan, will be responsible for the sales, service and support of VEC cell technology.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - May 29, 2002 - Genmar Holdings, Inc. (Genmar) announced today that Tim Rankin has joined its VECâ„¢ Technology Division as the Vice President of a newly created Technology Solutions department.

Rankin, who was most recently employed as the Managing Principal for TR Manufacturing Consulting in Grand Rapids, Mich., will be responsible for the sales, service and support of VEC cell technology.The Technology Solutions department will also support all Genmar facilities with the analysis and deployment of best practices and advanced technology as VECâ„¢ Technology continues to expand within the company.

Rankin, a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, has extensive experience in process engineering, lean manufacturing methods and project management.He has a diversified composites and plastics background and experience in several industries, including aerospace, medical, automotive and robotics.

"I've spent my career in the aerospace and automotive industries devising better methods of manufacturing composite products," said Rankin.
