Thomas J. Rankin

Thomas J. Rankin, Petroleum Engineer, Texaco E&P Inc., is recognized for his commitment to serving the Society and his professionalism in the petroleum industry and to his community.An SPE member since 1992, Rankin is active in the San Joaquin Valley Section and was a member of the SPE International Thermal Operations and Heavy Oil Symposium Program Committee.Rankin performs facility automation design for the Kern River field and holds the patents for two flue gas recirculation systems.He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MS degree in petroleum engineering from the U. of Southern California.
