Ramezanzadeh, 44, moved to Woodlawn High in August.Before that, she spent two years as an administrator at Capitol High School, where she helped lead a transformation of that school in connection with a $1 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Ramezanzadeh started working for the parish school system in 1989, teaching at Park Forest Middle, Baton Rouge Magnet High and Tara High schools, said Kami McDonald, public information officer for the system.

A native of Baton Rouge, Ramezanzadeh earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern University.
