W. Mark McCollough, M.D., and James E. Radford, M.D., of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Pardee Hospital, were recently nominated by their peers as two of the best doctors in North Carolina.

For the third year in a row, McCollough, a board-certified radiation oncologist, and Radford, a board-certified medical oncologist, were named to Business North Carolina's Best Doctors list, which was published in the July issue of the monthly publication.

Radford, a physician with Hendersonville Hematology and Oncology, serves as the principal investigator for Pardee's cancer clinical trials program, which has more than 35 open studies.He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Mich., and completed a residency and fellowship at University of Iowa in Iowa City.Before moving to Hendersonville, Radford served as assistant professor of Internal Medicine (Medical Oncology) at the University of Minnesota, and then as assistant professor of Internal Medicine (Hematology-Oncology) and Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
