"This has become an annual event for the district and gives the local economy a real boost," event secretary Hugh Radford said."There are very few Quarter Mile events of this type in western Victoria and there are thousands of people interested in motor sport.We are getting many entries and all surplus funds are going to the local hospital foundation.

"$500 has been raised for the foundation and $400 each for the local SES and the CFA branches that help out on the day.The event is also greatly supported by local businesses and the Lions Club who make this event possible," Mr Radford said.
