Staff - Paul Quinn (Senior Associate Technologist)
Paul Quinn has over twenty five years experience in surface coating technology.Paul graduated from DIT with a Diploma in Applied Physics.Initial employment was in the adhesives field at the Loctite Ireland Ltd, R & D facility in Dublin . Paul subsequently moved to the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards and specialised initially in inorganic metal finishing technologies.Further study at the Polytechnic of the South Bank led to attainment of professional membership of the Institute of Metal Finishing . Most recent study involved pursuit of an Msc in Advanced Materials Technology at the University of Surrey . Paul's areas of interest at IIRS broadened in to the wider surface coatings area during successive changes at IIRS and evolution in to Enterprise Ireland . During this time Paul developed a uniquely broad expertise in the relevant technology areas.Together with colleague; John Colreavy, Paul was instrumental in the transfer of the Enterprise Ireland coatings consultancy and research activities to DIT.
