Edel started her dance acreer with 'Riverdance the show', performing internationally as both lead dancer and troupe member.Other professional experiences include H20: Henri Oguike's Apprentice Dance Company and the WEstend production of 'The Shoughraun'.She has completed a BAHons Degree in Dance at University College Chichester and an MSc in Dance Science at Laban.Currently Edel is working as a lecturer and researcher with the Laban Dance Science and Health Team where she is actively invovled in Laban's ongoing interdisciplinary screening programme for studnets and professional dancers.Most recently Edel has been primary researcher on a project assessing the physiological and psychological effects of dance on school children.She has presented her research internationally at conferences such as at the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) and Tanz Medicine Symposium (TaMed).
