Francisco QuilesHousing Counselor for Tenants
Francisco Quiles brought over 24 years of experience to NHN when he was hired in October 2000.His career began as a housing paralegal for Legal Services Corp. organizing farm workers for a federal class action suit regarding working and living conditions.As a Senior Intergroup Relation Officer for HPD, Francisco enforced the laws that governed the participation of disadvantaged minority and female-owned businesses in housing construction projects.In Housing Court, he supervised over 12,000 mediation cases per year.Prior to joining NHN, Francisco worked for Forest Hills Community House as a Housing Specialist.He advocates on behalf of clients regarding: eviction, organizing tenant associations, Jiggetts cases, presenting tenant rights workshops, entitlement cases, representing tenants as a Friend of the Court.Francisco holds a Bachelor or Arts in Management from Regina Cleri Seminar-Catholic University of Puerto Rico and is fluent in English and Spanish.
