Miss Katie Renee Queen

Miss Katie Renee Queen, 12, of Winston-Salem, formerly of Gastonia, died Feb. 14, 2002, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.She was born July 24, 1989, in Charlotte, was the Gaston County March of Dimes Poster Child in 1992, former student at Carr Elementary School, Dallas, and formerly attended Firestone Wesleyan Church in Gastonia.After moving to Winston-Salem, she attended Thomasville Middle School as a 6th-grader and Central Wesleyan Church in Thomasville.
